What Love Language does your child speak?
How to not annoy your teenager.
As your family grows through different stages from childhood to adulthood, it’s good to review everyone’s love language.
My love language is physical touch, but I also like to tease. I have a very loving, but teasing style of relationship with my mom. That's how we show love. I tend to do the same in my other relationships. Teasing, sarcasm, joking, trying to make people laugh, especially if they’re having a hard day, is natural for me. But this is the opposite of what my girls want/need/appreciate. They want “quality time” and “physical touch.” So my attempts to express love can be irritating.
Learning to speak others' love language is important to a happy, healthy family life. Double check the love language you are speaking. Make sure it's THEIR love language not YOURS.
